Keep in mind not all porcelain glove molds are vintage. Some are still being manufactured in other countries such as China, Mexico, Germany, and Japan and may indeed be brand new. They are still being used to make latex and rubber gloves in factories today. When you looking for a vintage glove molds, consider the following factors:

It's Probably New If:

• If the glove mold says made in china, chances are it's new. 

It's Probably Old If: 

• Glove molds marked "General Porcelain" of Trenton, NJ will be old, because this company has been out of business for some time. 

• If the glove mold is discolored or has fractures or marks, chances are it was in use in the factory, and some research can be done on it's maker's mark to find out approximate age.
